The Atypical View
Mental health care through a neurodiverse lens
My goal is to do more than just providing neurodiversity-affirming care. Here I specialize in neurodiverse mental health care provided by a neurodiverse provider. I understand that every mind is unique, and embrace the diversity of thought, experience, and perspective that comes with neurodivergence. No matter if you are looking for coaching or therapy, here you will find a safe, supportive environment where you can explore your strengths, address challenges, and achieve your goals. Whatever your neurotype, my atypical approach is to walk alongside you on your journey to well-being, tailored to your individual needs and neurodiverse experience.
Autism
Autism is a spectrum that reflects the rich diversity of human experience and the unique ways individuals perceive and interact with the world. In our sessions, I will celebrate your diversity by offering support that recognizes and respects the strengths, challenges, and individuality of autistic people. Whether you are seeking therapy, resources, or a community, the focus is on fostering an environment where you can thrive, connect, and feel understood. My atypical approach is compassionate, personalized, and informed by a deep understanding of autism from both lived and professional perspectives. You’re not alone—let this journey be explored together.
ADHD
Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) brings a unique blend of creativity, energy, and challenges. Whether you're struggling with focus, organization, or managing daily tasks, understanding and embracing your ADHD can lead to a more fulfilling life. I am dedicated to helping you harness your strengths and develop strategies to overcome obstacles. I offer personalized support that meets you where you are, helping you thrive in a world that often doesn't understand the ADHD experience. Look for ADHD therapy or ADHD coaching no further. Together, we'll explore ways to turn your challenges into opportunities for growth.
OCD/OCPD
Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) and Obsessive-Compulsive Personality Disorder (OCPD) can significantly impact daily life, relationships, and overall well-being. While both involve patterns of repetitive thoughts and behaviors, they are distinct in their experiences and challenges. I offer specialized OCD support, helping you manage symptoms, find the root of these thoughts, reduce distress, and regain control over your life. My atypical approach is rooted in understanding, tailored to your unique needs, and designed to empower you with effective tools and strategies for navigating the complexities of these conditions.
PTSD/cPTSD
Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and Complex PTSD (cPTSD) are profound responses to trauma, affecting the way you feel, think, and relate to the world. Whether you’re dealing with single-event trauma or prolonged, repeated trauma, these experiences can leave deep emotional and psychological scars. I am ready to provide a safe and compassionate space for healing, offering trauma-informed care tailored to your unique journey. My atypical approach is holistic, focusing on helping you reclaim your sense of safety, build resilience, and find a path toward lasting recovery and peace.
Dyslexia
Dyslexia, Dyscalculia, and other learning differences affect how individuals process language and numbers, often making reading, writing, and math more challenging. While I can not diagnose or treat these learning differences, instead, I will celebrate your neurodiversity and provide specialized dyslexia support for how the symptoms of these diagnoses affect you and your life. These challenges do not define your potential. My atypical approach is empathetic and strengths-based, focusing on empowering you with tailored strategies and tools, to help you build confidence, unlock your abilities, and achieve success on your own terms.
…and beyond
Neurodiversity encompasses a rich tapestry of cognitive experiences beyond the ones listed, each contributing to the vibrant diversity of human thought and behavior. Neurodiverse individuals may have unique ways of processing information, perceiving the world, and interacting with others. This includes variations in attention, memory, sensory processing, and emotional regulation. I am here to honor and support all forms of neurodiversity, recognizing the strengths and challenges that come with each unique neurotype. My goal is to help you embrace your unique neurodiversity, harness your strengths, and achieve a fulfilling and balanced life.
